What to expect at your first visit:
- Please allow up to 2 hours for the first visit.
- There is always paperwork when you first enter any doctor's office! So bring your insurance information with you if you have any.
- You will be taken back to the treatment area or an exam room and a detailed history will be taken.
- Then a very thorough examination including posture, range of motion, neurological and orthopedic testing will be done before any treatment is made.
- Most patients are treated the same day as their first visit.
Some other things that you can expect include:
- Respect as a person.
- Privacy about your condition, your health and personal information.
- Explanation about the exam findings and any treatment required.
- A relaxed, soothing and comfortable atmosphere.
- Compassionate and nurturing care.
- Expediency in getting you well!

Financial Policies:
We will accept and bill any insurance company except HMO's. We are BlueCross BlueShield providers. To make it easier on you we accept cash, check and most major credit cards.
Understanding Insurance Benefits and Chiropractic:
Each insurance policy is different. Some don't even cover chiropractic. Many limit services they will cover or the number of visits you can have per year. This is a contract that you have with your insurance company, and not between our office and the insurance company.
If the insurance company says they reimburse a percentage of all reasonable and necessary chiropractic care, you must understand the insurance company is the one who determines reasonable and necessary, not your doctor.
The limit is not based on your individual health care needs but is determined by the specific program limits within your policy.
Limits can be based on a specific dollar amount, a specific period of time or a specific number of adjustments. Therefore, you would be reimbursed based on one of these three categories until you reach their maximum allowed benefits.
As you can see none of the above policy limits are determined by the patient's health care needs. Yet, as a patient, you are told by your insurance company “You have reached maximum medical improvement” or that they have reimbursed you for “all reasonable and necessary services.” This makes it quite obvious that your insurance company does not base their reimbursement on your health care needs, therefore, neither should you. In today's managed care system, insurance must be looked at as a supplement to your care not as the sole means to achieving it. There is always an out of pocket expense to the patient like orthodontia, dentistry and lasik surgery. The key is for us to keep your out of pocket expense as low as possible.
Regardless if you have insurance or if you are financially challenged, if you and your family are committed to correcting and maintaining your spine through chiropractic care, we will do everything possible to make it affordable and stress free so it fits within your budget.
Remember, you will make your health care an investment versus an expense.
